Joseph Smith was called a prophet "dumb dumb dumb dumb." If you're not from in and around Salt Lake City, there's a good chance that your first exposure to The Book of Mormon came through a South Park episode. That episode helped inspire The Book Of Mormon from the creators of the Comedy Central hit, and for years, it's been drawing strong reactions and sending audiences out singing tracks like "I Believe" and "Turn It Off." Now you have a chance to see this performance live in New York, New York at Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Friday 3rd July 2026.
There's no question that The Book Of Mormon is the most unapologetic and irreverent show to hit Broadway, arguably ever. Ironically, Trey Parker and Matt Stone wanted to create musicals long before they created the beloved community of South Park, Colorado. Don't think for a second that The Book Of Mormon was pulled together by some improvised TV hot shots. This version of The Book of Mormon features an incredible cast including Kevin Clay as Elder Price, Diego Enrico as Elder Cunningham, and Sydney Quildon as Nabulungi that will bring the humor and absurdity of the story to life. Friday 3rd July 2026 is set to be an entertaining evening at Eugene O'Neill Theatre, the historic Broadway theater that has been home to this 9-time Tony Award winner since 2011. From the moment that people read "From the creators behind South Park", they have a certain expectation about what they're going to see on stage. Yes, to be fair, if you look carefully, you'll find Cartman there somewhere. However, this is a performance that's hitting the road after premiering on Broadway more than 15 years ago. That speaks to the fact that The Book Of Mormon is an established musical with a loyal following. Friday 3rd July 2026 marks your chance to add your name to the list of loyal fans. Catch the current Broadway cast featuring Kevin Clay as Elder Price, Diego Enrico as Elder Cunningham, and Sydney Quildon as Nabulungi in this 9-time Tony Award-winning production.
If you think that this is just a performance that Trey Parker and Matt Stone designed solely to criticize religion, you're in for a rude awakening. Without giving too much away, we'd say, the story runs on this sense of naivety from the characters, but they are growing in understanding throughout the story. It makes them engaging, and it's truly what has kept fans flocking to theaters when The Book of Mormon is playing. As with any musical, some of these songs also help hold your attention throughout the performance. When it's all wrapped up, you might have a moment of disbelief, but you'll know you've had a memorable experience as the talented actors keep you watching closely from start to finish. With a running time of approximately 2 hours 30 minutes including one 15-minute intermission, you'll be fully immersed in this irreverent tale of two mismatched Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda.
When attending a performance, finding the right seats to have a clear view of the stage is an important part of the visit. General seating guidelines still matter! That means you're going to want to look for a spot toward the middle of the theater. Also, avoid choosing front-row seats. That's not where you're going to have the most complete perspective. On the contrary, you're going to be too close to take in the full stage. The intimate Eugene O'Neill Theatre, located at 230 West 49th Street in the heart of the Theater District, has been home to The Book of Mormon since 2011. With approximately 1,066 seats split between the Orchestra and Mezzanine levels, this historic venue offers excellent sightlines throughout.
If you want to experience a well-known and widely discussed Broadway production, then don't hesitate to select the "Buy Tickets" option as soon as possible. Spots for The Book of Mormon tend to sell out when it's on the road.
