Originating from Broadway, it’s time for New York to laugh their heads off as the musical comedy Book of Mormon will be touring in New York at Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Tuesday 23rd September 2025.
The mindblowing and sometimes humorously offensive musical Book of Mormon centers around of two Mormon Elders in training to become missionaries – Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, who are sent on a mission to a remote village in Uganda to convert its residents. The Broadway show deliberately satirizes religious belief in general through the eyes of the pair, as Cunningham comes up with an unorthodox manner to teach religion to the locals.
The Book of Mormon was produced by Robert Lopez, Trey Parker, and Matt Stone, the same creators of the cartoon TV series South Park and the Broadway musical Avenue Q.

Praised as one of the longest-running Broadway shows of all time, The Book of Mormon has been a certified hit all over the world. In its tour over a number of cities in the United States, London’s West End, and Australia to name a few, the musical has been met with an impressive reception from theatre fans and sold-out shows. In New York, it is expected to be just as extraordinary as the performance on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 will be running in Eugene O'Neill Theatre, with a long history of running the premier plays and musicals, and loved by audiences because of its beautiful facilities and adequate seating.
The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy about faith and how we behave towards it, specifically Latter-day Saints (LDS) missionaries named Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, as they are entrusted to represent and preach their religion’s faith and teachings to a small local village in Uganda. They come to find out however, the local residents are indifferent to their preaching, as they face issues of their own. The pair then try different methods to convert the locals, with Cunnigham’s often involving adding fake stories to his teachings.
