The Book Of Mormon tickets

The Book of Mormon, one of the in Broadway history, will now be coming to New York! and showing at Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Friday 11th July 2025!

The story revolves around the missionary journey of an odd pair of two Mormon missionaries, Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham. The Book of Mormon creatively challenges religion and religious storytelling, and presents it in classical modern theatre comedy. The two missionaries are sent on a mission to enlighten the residents of a local village in Uganda, who turn out to be facing more important challenges than what they aim to preach.

The Book of Mormon was conceptualized back in 2003 by creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, continuing on to its debut in 2011. Since then, the musical comedy has become one of the most commercially successful Broadway plays in history, with repeatedly full houses for over a decade.

The Book of Mormon will only be showing in New York’s Eugene O'Neill Theatre for a limited period this summer. Don’t wait for seats to run out on this popular Friday showing!

Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham are two coming of age Mormon missionaries tasked with a mission to a remote Ugandan village. Their goal is to convert the locals to their faith, but they find out upon their arrival that their job is more demanding than they had imagined, given the abundance of local issues that the villagers face such as a local warlord, an HIV/AIDS epidemic, and poverty among others. The pair then come to accept that they must use more unusual means to convert the population than the orthodox way that they know.

It is in this duo's difficult journey where the performance of The Book of Mormon excels – allowing a serious topic of religion to be blasphemed and made fun of with comedy, showtunes, and a bit of rude language, yet still remaining acceptable to the general public. Since its premiere in 2011, the musical has been received positively despite its manner of conveying its message. The church itself supported the musical, purchasing ads and releasing slogans specifically that stated: “You’ve seen the play, now read the book.” In its West End productions, the repeatedly sold-out shows were a testament to The Book of Mormon’s success. Theatre goers were already eagerly curious given the content and theme of the play, according to The Guardian, it was even to their shock that “suddenly you realize you’re in for not just humour but a seriously fine night of entertainment, and it just keeps on getting better.” The musical’s run in Australia met with a similar positive reception, with the Sydney Morning Herald even declaring that the Book of Mormon is a “dynamite production of a show that can lay fair claim to being the funniest Broadway musical of all time.”

It's no shock that due to its success, The Book of Mormon’s several shows globally have earned it nine Tony Awards, four Drama Desk Awards, three Outer Circle Critics awards, four Olivier Awards, and two Helpmann Awards.

This upbeat, happy, and totally hilarious play continues its tour in New York. New York’s best theatre venue, Eugene O'Neill Theatre, with its spacious seating capacity, outstanding lighting, and magical sound system will be hosting this July’s performance of The Book of Mormon.
