The Book Of Mormon tickets

The Book of Mormon, one of the most successful shows in Broadway history, will now be available in New York! and performing at Eugene O'Neill Theatre on Saturday 6th September 2025!

Centered on the missionary journey of an odd pair of two Mormon missionaries, Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham. The Book of Mormon satirizes religion and religious storytelling, and presents it in a visionary and comedic manner. The two missionaries are sent on a mission to preach to the residents of a local village in Uganda, who turn out to be facing more important challenges than what they aim to preach.

The Book of Mormon was conceptualized back in 2003 by creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, continuing on to its first performance in 2011. Since then, the Book of Mormon has become one of the most financially successful Broadway plays in history, with repeatedly sold-out shows for over a decade.

The Book of Mormon will only be showing in New York’s Eugene O'Neill Theatre for a limited time this fall. Don’t wait for seats to run out on this popular Saturday showing!

The Book Of Mormon

Eugene O'Neill Theatre

Debuting in 2011, The Book of Mormon has undoubtedly been one of the most successful Broadway musicals since its opening. A collaboration by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez, the musical is a different perspective on the Latter-day Saints (LDS) founder and prophet Joseph Smith and his Book of Mormon. The show was intended to premiere off Broadway at the New York Theatre workshop after its 2008 staged reading, though this turned out to be a blessing in disguise as its actual debut in 2011 moved to a more known location at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre.

After a year, the Broadway play was already approved for a U.S. national tour that lasted four years, including a run in Salt Lake City, Utah! The show also proceeded to be performed in several locations, with a Chicago production performed in 2012, a West End production in 2013, and Australian and European productions both staged in 2017.

The storytelling and satire of this musical were key elements to this success. It tells the story of Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham, two LDS missionaries who embark on a mission to spread their religion in a remote village in Uganda. It is there that they contend with completing their mission, as well as their different methods in teaching their religion, given that Cunningham lies to the villagers by adding fictional parts from science fiction and fantasy stories into his sermons, while Price is bent on teaching the villagers in the usual, orthodox manner. The way the Book of Mormon is shared with the audience is told in quite an unorthodox manner as well, usually mocking religion in its script and also injecting comedy in both of its acts, and of course, let's not forget the showtunes!

For its current run, the Book of Mormon will be in New York in September at the central theatre venue of Eugene O'Neill Theatre, which holds an second to none stage, sound system and acoustics, and leading facilities that is fit for this critically-acclaimed musical.
