Eugene O'Neill Theatre

Familiar to locals as one of the greatest theatre venues in New York, Eugene O'Neill Theatre has always been the top choice as a play or show venue, especially due to its epic interior and exterior architecture that is both practical and beautiful. The musical comedy will be available for a limited time in Eugene O'Neill Theatre in September, on Tuesday 2nd September 2025.

Robert Lopez, Trey Parker, and Matt Stone, once again succeeded in creating another hilarious production but in an entirely new medium for them. This time being in on the Broadway stage. The Book of Mormon, centered on Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, two Mormon missionaries of the Latter-day Saints (LDS) faith, begin on their journey to baptize and convert the local population of a village in Uganda. The musical, despite the risk of offending the church, delves away from a sedated approach to telling this story, as it instead uses comedy and even blasphemy to challenge and question the way religion is preached and religious stories are interpreted.

Audiences globally and for the past decade since its Broadway premiere in 2011 have received The Book of Mormon positively despite its tone, as despite being rude, foulmouthed, and often satirical, it also comes with a warm and serious tone beneath its language. Throughout its two acts, the musical gradually remolds itself from a play full of cursing, adult themes, and profanity to a story that shares a deep message. The New York Times agrees with this thought and stated that “The central theme of The Book of Mormon is that many religious stories are silly. Many religious doctrines are rigid and out of touch. But religion itself can do enormous good as long as people take religious teaching metaphorically and not literally; as long as people understand that all religions ultimately preach love.”

Witness the innovative musical that has broken records and won awards in Broadway, West End, and many other countries. Tickets are available through by clicking the link that can be accessed above.
