New York, you’re in for the best kind of surprise as The Book of Mormon, one of Broadway’s wittiest, cleverest, and most humorous musicals is arriving and performing in New York on Saturday 11th April 2026 at the one and only Eugene O'Neill Theatre! Take part in a musical showing that makes you fall in love with classical theatre, full of hysterical and amusing twists.

Produced from the minds of the creators of the famous comedy TV series South Park and the play Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon tells the story of two Mormon missionaries, Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, as they try to convert local villagers in Uganda. In similar fashion to their previous creations, the musical takes the serious concept of religion and satirizes it through both script and music.

As Ben Brantley of The New York Times states, just like South Park, it is “also blasphemous, scurrilous and more foul-mouthed than David Mamet on a blue streak. But trust me when I tell you that its heart is as pure as that of a Rodgers and Hammerstein show”.

Make the most out of your chance to be part of the audience and get a seat to this unbelievable show, before they run out!

Praised as one of the longest-running musicals of all time, The Book of Mormon has been a box office success from all around the globe. In its tour over a number of cities in the United States, London’s West End, and Australia to name a few, the Broadway hit has been met with an astounding reception from viewers and sold-out shows. In New York, it is expected to be as jaw-dropping as ever as the performance on Saturday 11th April 2026 will be running in Eugene O'Neill Theatre, with a long history of staging the unrivaled plays and musicals, and treasured by many because of its beautiful facilities and adequate seating.

The Book of Mormon is a musical about faith and how we behave towards it, specifically Latter-day Saints (LDS) missionaries named Kevin Price and Arnold Cunningham, as they are entrusted to represent and preach their religion’s faith and teachings to a small local village in Uganda. They discover however, the local residents are not receptive of their preaching, as they are dealing with their own personal problems. The pair then try different methods to convert the locals, with Cunnigham’s often involving adding fictitious tales to his religious teachings.

To date, The musical has won several awards in both Broadway and West End, including nine Tony Awards out of fourteen total nominations, including for Best Musical after its debut in 2011, four Drama Desk Awards, and three Outer Circle Critics awards. Across the pond, in the West End production of the show which debuted in 2013 at the Prince of Wales theatre, it won four Laurence Olivier Awards again including for Best Musical, while in its Australian tour in 2017, it also won two Helpmann Awards that also included for Best Musical.

Monetarily, The Book of Mormon has also achieved unsurpassed financial success with more than 4,600 performances as of the end of 2023. It has grossed over $1 billion dollars worldwide, and was even supported by the church through purchases of ad space, billboards, bus advertising space, and other marketing campaigns in the several cities in which the show performed in.
