The Eugene O’Neill Theatre, at 230 West 49th Street, Manhattan, is known among theater-goers for its grand yet intimate atmosphere. It has 1,108 seats across two levels, giving you plenty of options of seating location. 

The building’s facade was originally brick and terracotta but was replaced with stucco in the 1940s. Now, it features painted limestone and a large iron balcony that makes it stand out among the skyscrapers. 

The theater opens its doors 45 minutes before showtime. This gives you enough time to pass a security screening, purchase refreshments, and find your seat. The Eugene O’Neill Theatre’s auditorium was initially decorated in red and gold. Nowadays, purple and gold coloring gives the venue a royal feel. Once inside, you’ll see how the stunning interior artwork shows planets and a heavenly pink cloud-filled sky — helping to build the Broadway show atmosphere.
